To manage a portfolio of customer projects of varying complexity, each covering the entire span of milestones and activities from advising Origination up to and including the hand-over to Operations and Client Services. A part of the process will also include project evaluation and lessons learned. The Implementation Manager will help define, plan and execute the delivery of customer solutions in close partnership with the client, the Origination person, the Proposal Team, the Origination Team Leader, the Client Service Department (including the groups within Client Service supporting the implementation, such as Delivery Channel Services, Channel Integration and the Documentation department), as well as with Credit. His/her focus (beyond the actual implementation) will be to improve the efficiency of the process and further the timely conversion of mandated to booked revenue. The continuing goal will remain improving time to revenue.

Customer projects involve implementing solutions related to Payments, Collections, Electronic Banking Channels, International Cash and Liquidity Management, and FI Services.

·

Cash Implementation Managers work closely with all the departments within Global Client Service as well as several other stakeholders including Origination, Product Management, Operations, Relationship Management, Credit, and RDDM.

Interacts with RBS credit, operations, client services throughout the globe

·

Direct customer responsibility

·

Manage a complex project management processes to onboard a global transaction client (structure, plan, control, assess, report, conclude)

·

Consult with the Origination person, Proposal Team and Relationship Bankers with regard to scope, (technical) feasibility, cost, quality and risk of the solutions offered to the client

·

Participate in pre-mandate assistance with Origination (Proposals, Client visits)

·

Consult with Delivery Channel Services, Channel Integration, Operations, Product Management, and the Documentation department to plan for and obtain qualified resources for the implementation “team”

·

Assemble the implementation “team” and ensure the project communication processes as well as roles and responsibilities are well defined

·

Develop detailed project plans and/or plan of approach documents, validate revenue forecasts, complete required reporting using an internal tracking tool Connect / WIP as required; determine impacts and timelines as changes occur giving status updates to all relevant parties.

Lead regular project status meetings with internal as well as client representatives to monitor the progress of projects, elevates key issues to the appropriate channels

·

Perform post-implementation reviews to determine improvement needs in the implementation process

Often responsible for projects outside the direct scope of and actual implementation which will help improve and further our business

Requirements

Bachelor-level education required

Project Manager skills

Knowledge of relevant business units within RBS

Market oriented - maintain comprehensive awareness of market and technological developments and ability to use this knowledge effectively

Global perspective, ability to operate successfully as part of the global team

Some knowledge and understanding of the RBS. M&IB infrastructure

3 - 10 years preferably in implementing (international, cross-border) client solutions

3 - 10 years preferably working with corporate and FI clients, achieved in either a corporate treasury environment or in a major global bank

Computer literate (windows, e-mail, Internet, MS-Project, PowerPoint, Excel)

Product knowledge of payments / collections / electronic banking / liquidity structures

Good presentation skills

Good communication skills both written and oral

Ability to communicate and interface across senior levels of the bank and client groups (maturity and poise)

Entrepreneurial in style, driving aggressively for bottom-line improvements and delivering revenues in a cost effective

Team player - developing and maintaining effective relationships based on understanding of other people’s perspectives and interests (within as well as outside the organization).

Additional experience in Cash or Trade Sales, Product Management and/or Operations is highly desirable
