The Implementation Specialist works with customers and project teams to plan, install, configure, and implement content management and process automation solutions that will meet customer business requirements, as part of initial implementations and ongoing projects. The Implementation Specialist will work with project teams in a fast-paced environment on a wide range of projects for Interactive Intelligence customers world-wide. The Implementation Specialist must be able to multi-task, work in a self-directed and self-motivated environment, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

Consult with customers to gather business requirements and provide best-practice guidance

Create technical specification and design documents to serve as a baseline for development

Develop, install, and configure solutions in accordance with design documents

Collaborate with project teams in order to ensure successful delivery of applications

Acquire an in-depth knowledge of content management and business process automation applications

Assist with product support of content management and business process automation applications

Provide technical expertise, training, and mentoring to team members for perpetual growth and development

Work regularly with team members to develop standards and best practices that will improve efficiency and the over-all quality of work delivered by the team

Manage critical situations by communicating with customers and internal project teams to drive issues to resolution

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

3 years’ industry experience in a software development organization

Experience installing and configuring enterprise software applications

Minimum one year’s experience with the following:


SQL Server

Microsoft Server 2003/2008

Knowledge of content management and business process automation applications (highly desirable)

Complex problem-solving and analytical skills

Written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be detail-oriented

Ability to take initiative and be proactive

Ability to self-motivate and work independently

Ability to work as part of a skill team and project team

Flexible and adaptable

Work Context

Communicates regularly with colleagues, project teams, clients, and management

Uses computer frequently

Travels (20%) to customer and business meeting sites, international locations included

Legally eligible to work in the U.S
