Boulder County's Department of Housing and Human Services (DHHS) is hiring an Income Maintenance Technician Manager (Long Term Care and Medicaid Expansion). The Manager will provide coaching and supervision to a team of Income Maintenance Technicians in our benefits eligibility unit.
Examples of Duties:
The Manager will be responsible for developing program policies and procedures related to Medicaid Long Term Care, and Family Medicaid/CHP+ programs as well as the Affordable Care Act Medicaid Expansion programs; monitoring and assuring program compliance; reviewing and responding to state reports; participating on the benefits eligibility leadership team; providing direction and support to Income Maintenance Technicians; organizing and scheduling work flow effectively and equitably for the team; conducting performance appraisals; assisting with resolution of provider or client issues; participating at local and state meetings; interfacing with division directors and program managers to implement system changes and enrollment procedures to ensure all eligible families are enrolled in benefits; and developing and maintaining community partnerships.
High school diploma and five (5) years experience including one (1) year of supervisory experience. Advanced education may substitute for required experience. (Prefer a bachelor's degree in a social science, business or closely related field and two (2) years supervisory experience.) Must have experience with public benefits policy and eligibility, and a high level of proficiency working in CBMS.

The position requires a thorough knowledge of statute as it relates to food and financial assistance, and health coverage benefits. Must be able to interpret rules/regulations and policy. The incumbent will have excellent communication (oral, written) and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with a diversity of backgrounds and lifestyles, desire to participate on a dynamic and strategic management team, working knowledge of the government/non-profit sector, strong skills in general MS office computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The incumbent must have high level of CBMS proficiency and have the ability and willingness to travel to various locations within Boulder County and the Denver Metro area.
