DESCRIPTION

Florida Tile is looking for an Independent Commercial Sales Specialist to introduce our new and existing product lines to the regional commercial market. The primary focus of this position will be to establish and develop customer relationships with the customer base that defines the commercial market segment. Successful Independent Commercial Sales Specialists will drive the top line to meet or exceed sales goals, while maintaining profitability through appropriate pricing and accounts receivable follow-up. This position will be based in the norththeastern United States with responsibilities in multiple states (Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D. C. area.

DUTIES

  • Work from a home office and travel throughout the region in order to maximize sales
  • Establish and maintain a distribution network for Florida Tile products in the territory
  • Target, call on, and develop relationships with distributors
  • Introduce and successfully initiate company programs and new product introductions.
  • Assess competitors, their product lines and strategies. Compile a library of their product catalogs, spec sheets, etc., and keep informed of their activity
  • Evaluate product field complaints and resolve them in accordance with company guidelines
  • Advise and train distributor customers regarding display systems that will maximize sales
  • Develop and maintain job quotes and price exceptions
  • Coordinate with distributors for customer complaint resolution
  • Utilize CRM software to document project specification and all sales related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in sales, account management, and new business development
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • At least three years of direct sales experience preferably in the commercial market
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline preferred
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft office
  • Ability to achieve company goals with little supervision
  • Business to business sales knowledge and techniques
  • Overall analysis of the total and individual markets in order to set goals, plan and execute market research, forecasting sales, and establishing new markets
  • Ability to travel throughout the specified territory
  • Development, planning and the execution of yearly business plan
  • Knowledge of tile industry is required
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced work environment.
