Coordinates and conduct monthly Regional Youth Advisory Council meetings. > Maintains communications and working relationship with Kansas Youth Advisory Council contacts regarding current Independent Living activities in the State. > Primary contact for State of Kansas Independent Living Program Director. > Attends quarterly SRS Independent Living meetings. > Maintains contact with SRS Independent Living liaisons, as needed. > Coordinates all activities for State computer camps. > Coordinates and conduct tours to post-secondary education sites. > Obtains and disburse resource and scholarship information. > Maintains working relationship with Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP program coordinator. > Trains staff regarding Independent Living transition paperwork and timelines, as needed. > Writes and distribute Independent Living newsletter. > Serves as resource for workers regarding specialty areas for youth leaving the child

Essential Functions Continued welfare system. > Provides direct services to youth leaving the child welfare system as requested by supervisors and/or area directors. > Seeks and identify grant opportunities. > Implements SFCS policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent SFCS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms. > Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels. > Ensures clients’ rights are protected. > Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.

Non-Essential Functions > Prefer to have a minimum of 40 hours in-service education per year. > Other duties as assigned
