Required shift: Thursday's from 7:00am-2:30pm & Friday's from 8:30am-2:30pm. Other shift opportunities may, on occasion, be available throughout the academic year (nights and weekends).

Position Summary

This is a part-time, academic year (September - May) position that coordinates the daily operations of the indoor tennis and squash courts located in the Pizzitola Sports Center. Coordinate the reservations schedule of the tennis and squash courts. Make reservations for members of the Brown community who request playing time either by telephone, in person, or online. Facilitate the smooth day-to-day management of the courts. Collect indoor tennis court fees. Check in tennis players. Report maintenance issues. All department employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the department are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test.

  • High School Diploma. - Ability to interact positively with the general public. - Extremely dependable and flexible. - Work independently with minimal supervision. - Computer and typing skills.
Special Physical Requirements

Ability to walk up and down flights of stairs between the tennis and squash courts as needed during shift.
