Teach coursework in the Industrial & Commercial Trades Program including courses in the use of lathes, mills, blueprint reading, shop math, shop safety, and machines & tools used in industry. Duties include development of curriculum and participation in department and College activities. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 8 years full-time related occupational experience or approved Journey-worker status OR an Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full-time related occupational experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience required. Broad theoretical background in machine shop practices including milling, turning, grinding, drilling and CNC, plus knowledge and/or participation in the National Institute for Metalworking Skills and SkillUSA are preferred. May involve travel to other campuses, for day, evening and/or weekend classes. 232 day, 12-month contract. A teaching demonstration will be part of the interview process. Hiring process includes a background check. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
