ALSTOM Grid – the leader in providing software and services to the Electric Utility Industry has an opening for an Industrial Engineer in it's Charleroi, PA location.
As an Industrial Engineer you are responsible for studying and to implement new production (and testing) methods, either for new products introduction or for productivity and quality optimization by implementing lean tools and standards.
To propose the methods/tools to improve SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance.
Study layouts and assembly lines taking into account production load variance and logistics constraints.
Specify, design (or supervise design) and implement new production and testing tools, fixtures and equipments.
Estimate and validate assembly and testing times, and to issue production times for various products and options.
Propose the methods/tools to improve the SCUD performance.
Lead projects in the field of Production Engineering.
Prepare operating procedures and to rain workshop employees.
Participate to new products development, in order to optimize design for assembly and testing
Develop lean competencies and culture within the unit being a change agent.
Propose actions to improve safety and ergonomics.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this
opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
3+ years of production engineering experience in a manufacturing industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in implementing lean transformation workshop with demonstrable results is mandatory
