Responsible for evaluating and improving plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, production output and operating cost. Position performs research, conducts experiments, gathers data and develops preliminary findings. Evaluate alternatives and prepare cost estimates for capital projects, and revisions to plant. Serve as project manager on projects to account for progress and costs. Study current production facilities and recommend improvements.
Basic Qualifications :
BS required in Wood Products or Engineering field with 1 - 3 years experience in an industrial setting preferred. Must possess the ability to understand and apply mathematical calculations and concepts. Requires computer skills in many types of applications, and be able to work a flexible schedule. Excellent communication skills required both verbal and written. Continuous manufacturing operation experience and knowledge of wood products recommended. Knowledge of continuous improvement tools, facilitation, troubleshooting and process controls a plus.
