Marinette Marine Corporation, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Coast Guard and United States Navy, as well as commercial vessels. We currently have an opportunity for two (2) Industrial Engineers in our Production Control Department at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for development, updating, and maintenance of key performance indicators across the organization. This position will facilitate the development of a capacity analysis and simulation function to improve work station efficiencies and line balancing across the manufacturing process. The Industrial Engineer will bring a more factory/manufacturing philosophy to the yard. This position will also help facilitate the collaborative effort between Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, and Manufacturing to implement a standard product based system. In addition, build strategy guidance at various level of detail will be provided to Scheduling.

Qualified candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus 2 years of related work experience or High School diploma plus 4 years or more of related work experience. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of statistical methods/mathematical calculations to evaluate manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards. Candidates must have a working knowledge of reading and interpreting production drawings and product models. The qualified candidate will have substantial working knowledge of common office applications, including spreadsheet analysis and graphing. The ability and willingness to work in both an office and industrial environment. Knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material flow, production process and Navy and Coast Guard performance reporting requirement preferred.
