We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our North Charleston, SC facility.
Incumbent must have a qualified trade skill and be capable of providing maintenance, fabrication, or installation of plant equipment. With the acquired trade skills and with proper supervision, maintain mechanical electrical and building maintenance of the Charleston/Sleeve plant. Work must be completed in a timely and professional manner (corners square, pipe level, blots tight, welds solid, work painted, wiring meets code, etc.). Must be able to work harmoniously with others in job capacity. The company’s safety and OSHA programs must be adhered to at all times.
High School Diploma or GED.
2 years of experience interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications for equipment and machinery fabrication, installation, or repair.
2 years of experience laying out and installing piping as needed with pipefitting completed according to code and trade specifications.
2 years of experience compiling a full list of materials needed and/or used for each repair, fabrication, or installation assignment.
Capable of performing all code wiring installation on equipment or buildings, being able to repair and troubleshoot equipment control circuits as needed.
Able to perform gas, arc, and heliarc welding processes with various metals or alloys. With either process, perform all welded fabrications to code and trade specifications.
Machine from drawings and specifications all parts as needed for fabrication or repair of plant equipment.
All machine work to be within specified tolerances.
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor in installing, fabricating, or repairing as deemed necessary.
