Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment related to production, packaging and material handling; such as filler machines, casers, pumps,conveyor systems, processors and ammonia refrigeration system.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment as scheduled
Perform emergency repairs in breakdown situations
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment land make necessary adjustments on electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Complete work orders in timely manner while adhering to the highest quality standards
Practice appropriate safety policies, procedures, GMPs
Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by appropriately signing out parts and reporting low part supply levels
Maintain accurate and complete records, documenting all work performed.
Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed to include general plumbing and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing job duties
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will have good communication skills, both written and oral; as well as the ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers.
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair food processing and packaging equipment and have advanced PLC programming skills.
Previous experience with blow molding operations, ammonia systems and stainless welding are all pluses.
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and with others
Able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
Good working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and computer controlled equipment.
Knowledge of instrumentation and PLC experience
Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failure or equipment down time
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Perform mechanical tasks efficiently
Excellent Verbal /Written Communication Skills
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to withstand prolonged walking and standing
Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and up to 100 pounds
