Industry Marketing Manager – {rr} Shopping Media

This position is located in NYC or San Francisco

Industry Marketing is a new role for {rr}’s corporate marketing team supporting our advertising sales organization. Given that our advertising sales organization serves multiple industry segments (CPG, C/E, Financial Services, Travel, Entertainment, etc.) this role is crucial in developing marketing and sales programs that make our Shopping Media offering highly relevant to clients in these sectors. The Industry Marketing Manager role demands knowledge of the issues and needs that customers in key segments face in their given marketplace.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate priorities and formulate overall industry and solution marketing plan, including specific measures of success
  • Work with key stakeholders (CMO, GM, VP Sales) to create a vision for this new industry marketing function
  • Research and develop industry marketing plans including market sizing, addressable market opportunity, win/loss analysis, customer requirements, competitive positioning, and more.
  • Work with product management/engineering and AdOps teams to guide development of industry-specific solutions (packaged offerings and Shopping Media units), technologies and demos. Work with partners to develop joint solutions.
  • Amass key research and analysis on given markets to develop insights, perspectives and addressable solutions using Shopping Media in these segments
  • Work with marketing team members (mar/comm, events, PR) to develop and execute annual and quarterly go-to-market plans including, for each key industry: lead solutions, awareness, demand generation, sales enablement and partner plans; and supporting materials/content.
  • Aggressively position and market RichRelevance/Shopping Media as the leading advertising opportunity for each key industry. Develop clear and compelling positioning and messages
  • Training of sales team members on content specific to given markets
  • Identification of associations, analysts, organizations that RichRelevance should participate in in order to deepen relationship with given markets
  • The position requires a combination of strategic thinking and tactical execution.
  • The successful candidate will be able to analyze and understand the market and customer opportunity, and then create the appropriate industry and solution marketing strategy including targeted messaging, positioning, sales tools and training.
  • Cross-functional leadership is critical. This position works closely with corporate marketing, product marketing, AdOps, product, engineering, sales leadership and other key stakeholders.
