The Information Assurance Director provides extremely high level subject matter proficiency for work described in the task. Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems that require doctorate level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gather information from government and contractor Information Assurance personnel to assess their capabilities for IA Management, particularly in the areas of risk strategy assessment.

Identify relevant leading IA practices and identify gaps for existing organizational capabilities to define an IA management program.

Develop and document an IA Risk Management Framework to provide key metrics and measures that can be integrated into DTRA’s IA processes.

Identify and recommend tools that can be used to implement an IA RMF and demonstrate how the tools can be used by DTRA personnel to implement and monitor the IA RMF.

PhD in Scientific, Engineering or Business Discipline, additional experience will be considered in lieu of Advanced Degree requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ability to work well with others, manage multiple tasks, review and input data into various computer software systems, and the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.

Have outstanding oral and written communication skills

Have strong project management skills.

Have computer skills in word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and layout software

Have strong problem-solving skills

Work Environment
