a. Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the Informatica suite of products including but not limited to PowerCenter 9.x, Messaging Queues, Web Services (Oracle), Power Exchange for VSAM, Power Exchange for IDMS, Power Exchange for Oracle, Data Quality, MDM, Dynamic Data Masking, IDQ, Data Archive, and Test Data Management.
b. Installation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting of Informatica ETL Server implementations.
c. Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple complex and critical issues, and provide performance and tuning solutions to development teams.
d. Contribute to both application functionality and capacity requirements in a rapidly growing, changing and complex environment.
e. Assist in determining the impact of operational issues and provide input into their resolution via data extraction and quantification.
f. Coordinate and prioritize all escalated activities, including testing, implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes.
g. Provide end-user support on Informatica products to multiple organizations within the agency when issues arise.
h. Perform regular administration tasks; migrations, setups, server accessibility requests, decommission and cleanup activities.
i. Support audit and compliance reporting requests.
j. Participate in and contribute to the implementation of best practices and standards for the Data Integration environment including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
k. Support the operation of Informatica products on a 24/7 basis as needed
l. Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Competencies:
Experience should include but not limited to:
a. Bachelor's degree Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of experience
b. 8-10+ years of experience in product implementation and administration of ETL with concentration on the Informatica suite of products.
c. Experience working with the following database technologies (Oracle, IDMS, VSAM, and MSSQL).
d. Experience working with Data Warehousing, ETL Development and ETL Architecture
e. Working knowledge and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows 2003/2008 operating systems installed within a VMware environment.
f. Working knowledge and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows 2003/2008, and Z/OS operating systems.
g. Knowledge and experience in implementing user and data level security using IBM TIM/TAM (ISIM/ISAM).
h. Basic understanding of IIS, Tomcat and WebLogic application servers it relates to the Informatica infrastructure.
i. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
j. Experience in the support/operation of an enterprise widata warehouse, (6-8 yrs. preferred).
k. Practical experience of SQL skills and basic PL/SQL knowledge.
l. Understanding of DNS, Firewall and VPN, SFTP configuration.
m. Excellent documentation skills.
n. Ability to learn quickly and perform under extreme conditions.
o. Technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving Informatica related problems.
p. Knowledge of scheduling jobs and automation.
q. Prior experience on projects with federal, state or local government is desirable, but not required.
r. Prior experience with ITIL v3 is a plus.
