As a member of the Clinical Informatics, the Informatics Educator coordinates the development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical staff education related to the Clinical Information Systems. He/She develops Education Program(s) related to the use of Clinical Information Systems which includes assessment of learning needs, organizing resources, implementing programs and evaluating educational activities and competencies. The Informatics Educator reports to the Director of Clinical Informatics.
§ Bachelor’s degree in health care related field or education preferred or expertise in curriculum development.
§ Working knowledge of personal computing technology including user computing tools from both a technical and user perspective.
§ Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies
§ Experience conducting computer application or other technical training.
§ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
