Position Title: Information Analyst II (IT Project Analyst) - (Req. #0609830)
Position Description: Information Technology Services – Business and Finance Division. This position will be an integral part of the Business and Finance IT team which provides IT support services to the Business and Finance Division of Georgia Southern University. Primary responsibilities include managing IT projects from planning through implementation; this will include collaborating with sponsors and stakeholders to build project charters, define project scope, priorities, deadlines and deliverables; identify business process improvement needs; create reports from enterprise database systems; write and maintain user/technical manuals; analyze existing processing systems and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies; assist in the creation and implementation of user account security policies and procedures, as well as perform user account security audits.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; two or more years of work-related experience (a higher level of education may substitute for some of the experience requirement); working knowledge of relational database functionality; ability to create SQL queries and scripts to extract data for reporting and systems integration tasks; working knowledge of SQL and other data reporting and extraction tools; proficiency with Microsoft Office application software; working knowledge of process mapping and project management tools; Ability to troubleshoot basic computer problems; effective communication (verbal and written), organizational, and human relations skills; ability to work with diverse populations; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Salary: Minimum $36,903 to Midpoint $46,116
