ECS Federal is seeking a qualified Information Assurance (IA) Specialists to work in the Arlington, VA area.

Job Description:
The Information Assurance (IA) Specialists will be part of a team that helps provide subject-matter expertise to our customer. In addition, the candidate will:

  • Provide comprehensive assistance to DoD and non-DoD program manager and network/system engineers in assuring that networks, systems, and technology are secure and meet all applicable DoD and non-DoD security requirements, directives and regulations.
  • Provide Information Assurance (IA) Oversight for the Defense Information System Network (DISN) by developing, updating, reviewing, analyzing and submitting DISN DIACAP and Federal Information Security Act (FISMA) requirements.
  • Provide DISN Policy enforcement by auditing and identifying DISN services, applications, programs, systems, personnel, and networks that are not adhering to appropriate laws, policies, and guidance.

  • Provide DISN IA Standardization by developing the DISN IA Strategy Plan, Program Classification Guides, Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan, providing DISN Web Content Filtering Oversight.
  • Provide oversight to the development, analysis, implementation and tracking of web content on multiple networks ranging from unclassified to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
  • Provide DISN Risk Management support by assisting the customer with audits to prepare Network Services (NS) assets or NS-sponsored assets for the DISA FSO Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI), Certifications & Accreditations (C&As), and other inspections.
  • Provide Information Security (INFOSEC) technical and engineering security expertise to the DISA DISN Information Assurance Manager (IAM).
  • Develop the INFOSEC Change Plan with the objective of streamlining the process of changing INFOSEC levels.
  • Develop the Incident Response Plan and Risk Management Plan, and participate in Configuration Change Board (CCB) meetings to evaluated recommended changes to the DISN and provide recommendations to senior Government staff.
  • Assist with ongoing DISA efforts to identify and streamline processes and procedures for programs, systems, and networks with IA requirements.
  • Develop DISN IA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP).
  • Develop white papers whereby the research and prepare IA security technical analysis and briefings that identify shortcomings in the implementation of IA policy, technology, activities, and management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Five (5)+ years of related technical experience.
  • Expertise is preferred in computer/information systems areas such as: Computer/information system analysis, engineering, enhancement, management and integration.
  • Active Secrect Clearance required.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance, potentially up to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Desired:
  • Master of Science degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Seven (7)+ years of related technical experience.
  • Active Top Secrect preferred, with a potential upgrade to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
