Minimum Skills/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, or comparable education and experience typically obtained by 5 or more years related work experience.

Be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas; and a creative and flexible individual who is comfortable working in a large, dynamic, and complex
organization.

Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.

Possess the initiative to identify, communicate, and solve problems with a multitude of team members and government sponsors, as well as provide accurate input to plans and schedules.

Possess DoD 8570 approved security certification (CISSP, Security+? GSEC).
Experience with DoD Information
Assurance processes, particularly the DIACAP process.

Experience with various automated security tools including eEye Retina, DISA Gold Disk, NESSUS, NMAP and SCAP.

Must be able to develop plans and schedules.

Must have strong familiarity with NIST.

Experience conducting vulnerability testing on Windows, UNIX, Solaris and Linux based systems.

Experience writing, reviewing and understanding system security plans (SSP), network diagrams, standard operating
procedures (SOP)s, and system design documents (SDD).

Experience with authority to operate (ATO) processes from project conception to project completion.

Desired Skills:
Have developed communication skills and be able to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely in both verbal and written format.

Candidate must be a team player, dedicated to program support, capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlines.

Candidate must be well organized, reliable, conscientious, and be capable of managing resources and schedules to meet deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects.

Candidate must be able to satisfy requirements as Entry Level Navy Validator.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities, & Essential Job Functions:
Support SPA WAR Systems Center Atlantic and other stakeholders as a Information Assurance Systems Analyst for data consolidation efforts.

Candidate will perform information assurance certification and accreditation (C&A) support of new and existing systems.

Candidate will identify, refine, and document Information Assurance (IA) requirements and support the C&A of systems, software, and services against DoDI 8500.1 and DOD 8500.2 Information Assurance controls as they pertain
to the DIACAP process, as well as the new Risk Management Framework package.

Candidate will plan, perform, and analyze IA test and evaluation events for systems, software, and services.

Candidate will prepare and review IA documentation and establish procedures and processes to monitor progress toward customer organizational objectives.

Candidate will identify potential security issues in hardware/software configurations, recommend corrective actions, communicate issues, and monitor progress, while also performing vulnerability management and notifying leadership of alerts, bulletins, and technical advisories.

Candidate will assist with the implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls and ensure the integrity and
protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through
monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.
