Phacil has an immediate need for Information Assurance Specialists to support an important government customer in Arlington, VA.
Must have an active Top Secret clearance (no interims)
Support the customer through vulnerability scanning, the certification phase of the customer’s Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process, and management of customer’s antivirus program. Work shall also include: Providing guidance and strategies so that the customer functions in accordance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)and information assurance requirements, as well as agency and other organizational policies and procedures. Monitoring the customer's information technology architecture to ensure an adequate information system security infrastructure is in place to meet day-to-day security requirements. Ensuring that information systems are operated within an acceptable level of risk and are accredited. Ensuring that all information systems security related incidents and violations are immediately reported, data is collected, investigation is coordinated, and corrective measures are implemented. Providing monitoring and analysis of potential security risks at customer sites (both government and contractor) through the effective monitoring and analysis of security threats, recommending corrective actions through impact assessments and on-going support. Providing on-going security support in the areas of software, physical and administrative support to the customer. Assisting the systems security office in the effective analysis, operation, maintenance, documentation, training and ongoing support of security systems. Responding, in general, to system identified deficiencies and defects and provide security program maintenance to various customer’s development and operations groups, as necessary. Providing support in systems monitoring and security logs by determining policy, developing procedures, assisting systems administrators and analysis of systems logs and ensuring all security compliance is maintained. Implementing the Certification phase of IT Systems. Ensuring and monitoring that all the customer’s systems are compliant with the Department’s Anti-Virus program. Monitoring and tracking for the Laptop Certification Program.
CISSP highly desired
Must have at least 3 years of specialized experience
Establishes and satisfies complex system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. - Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. - A pplies know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
