Working with either internal stakeholders or external customers, the Solution Manager identifies, understands, negotiates, and documents business requirements based on strategic objectives. This person works closely with the technical development and delivery team to balance those requirements with technical constraints or opportunities. The Solution Manager will also work directly with the pre-sales team and will be responsible for translating customer-specific requirements and objectives into a statement of work, which will be a crucial part of the pre-sales process for selling new business and will provide an outline for the delivery team what work will be delivered and make recommendations as to how that work should be delivered.
In summary, the Solution Manager will translate the “ what ” and “why” of Information Data Management (IDM) strategic objectives into the “ how ” of technical development and customer-specific delivery.
Lead the analysis of customer or IDM offer requirements and translate requirements into a solution outline
Assist with the development of IDM solution roadmap – either to meet customer requirements or to meet a market opportunity.
Recommend information delivery procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
Lead the formalization of acceptance criteria for IDM solutions and implementations
Responsible for producing SOWs for IDM implementations
Responsible for producing a requirements document for each IDM offer or solution.
Regularly meet with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and new features that may contribute to the IDM solution roadmap.
Educate internal resources and key external stakeholders about planned functionality and usage.
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing standards
Understanding of complex software implementation methodology
At least 5 years’ experience managing or executing complex software implementations
At least 5 years’ experience documenting requirements into high level project or solution objectives
7+ years in systems integration, database marketing, or technology professional services organizations
Deep understanding of marketing campaign concepts, campaign software applications (with an emphasis on RedPoint Interaction), and analytics tools and concepts
Proven track record of successfully executed project work in a matrix environment
Willingness to travel no more than 25%
