Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing advanced logistics information and development of both tactical and RSP horizon KPI's, trends and opportunities that are critical to ensure achievement of the agreed business activities and goals. In addition, this position is responsible for performing detailed and complex analyses of information from various sources to assist in managerial decisions, projects and initiatives leading to improved customer service, logistics efficiencies and cost performance. This position is also expected to create and lead projects that positively impact all aspects of Logistics performance, including freight efficiency, warehousing and customer service. This position requires in depth knowledge of Supply Chain information systems in order to effectively analyze and recommend solutions across the network, to respond to the daily ad hoc information delivery requirements and to facilitate continuous improvements in information delivery tools, systems and process.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and establish both tactical and RSP horizon KPIs and Supply Logistics metrics.
  • Develop, implement and monitor reports and trends on Logistics performance in the areas of operations, customer service and cost.
  • Support daily, weekly, period, and ad hoc information needs for all Logistics function areas.
  • Support and develop operational metrics for:
  • Operations Planning and
  • Replenishment management teams.
  • Develop information delivery tools as well as facilitate and drive continuous improvements in information quality, systems and processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise for a broad range of technical, analytical and information systems skills through attendance of user groups, in-house training and outside seminars.

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge

  • Broad experience in the overall supply chain (planning, manufacturing, order management, physical logistics operations).
  • In-depth knowledge of all supply chain systems and data repositories.
  • Understanding of customer behaviour and understanding of customer expectations and key KPI's.
  • Understanding of distribution, transportation, inventory management, and warehousing.
  • Advanced working and application development skills in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Required Experiences & Education

  • 3+ year's experience in a supply chain, logistics or supply systems development.
  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Computer science or equivalent.
Preferred Experiences & Education

  • 5+ year's experience in a supply chain, logistics or supply systems development.
  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Computer science or equivalent.
Decision Making Authority and Impact

  • Develops recommendations and proposals that drive and support the supply chain and the overall company strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of both input and final published metrics and KPI's (internal to Masterfoods or to Customers and Vendors)
  • Software Tools (within the standard desktop applications)
  • Streamline information delivery process.
  • Knowledge management optimization and new decision support models.
