Plans, directs, and manages the operation of information technology security systems; provides technical leadership, expertise and direction; working with faculty and staff for design and implementation of information technology security systems; manages information security risk assessments of enterprise computer systems; and develops best technical practices for securing enterprise ?wide data and information systems; serves as process owner for all ongoing activities that provide appropriate access to and protect the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with organization policies and standards. Critical Security Controls include: Secure Network Engineering, Penetration Tests, Incident Response and Management, Data Loss Prevention, Account Monitoring and Control, Controlled Access, Limitation and Control of Network Ports, Protocols and Services, Secure Configurations for Network Devices such as Firewalls, Routers, and Switches, Wireless Device Control, Application Software Security, Malware Defenses, Continuous Vulnerably Assessment and Remediation, Secure Configuration for Hardware and Software on Mobil Devices, and PCP and the authentication and encryption of data wherever needed. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Advanced degree in computer science, management information system, computer science or technology related field. The advanced degree requirement may be substituted by a Bachelor's degree with extensive work experience (at least 5 years) in the security area in a leadership role in security management. Demonstrated experience and exposure in the security arena dealing with security-related issues a plus; Security certification highly desirable: CISSP, CISA, CCSP. Background and/or credit check may be required.
