Job Summary As the Information Security Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the CIO in operating maintaining and improving Atomic Data’s internal control environment as well as assisting in daytoday compliance audit and security matters The ISS will work directly with Atomic staff providing daily clarification and guidance on policies procedures change management and potential impacts to the security availability and confidentiality of Atomicmanaged data Essential Duties and Responsibilities Act as first point of contact for internal and external customer questions and issues arising from the Atomic network control environment and basic compliance matters Oversee and report on organizational compliance with company policies and procedures Monitor and maintain auditreadiness testing benchmarks Conduct customer and userauditor meetings and other compliancereporting activities Work with CIO and compliance team on annual and other milestone audits Collaborate with management to update maintain and lead internal training and documentation Review audit and recommend improvements to networked systems’ administrative security and accessauthorization configurations Perform regular vulnerability scanning assess risks and verify successful remediation with departmental owners Identify document and lead remediation and reporting of control exceptions Work directly with changeleaders to develop security profiles and impact assessments for new and modifications and enhancements to existing – products and systems Review and update the corporate incident response documentation process and procedures in support of continuous improvement Keep abreast of security compliance and privacy standards and regulations alerts and vulnerabilities that are relevant to Atomic Data Attend to obligations and support other company initiatives as directed by the CIO Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or greater Three years of leadership experience in network security IT auditing or other relevant area with strong focus on security internal control or compliance Strong written oral and interpersonal communication collaboration and organizational skills Diverse practical multivendor experiences at an intermediate level or better with a majority of the following operating systems network switches and routing firewalls intrusion detection systems monitoring scripting traffic capture and analysis vulnerability scanning Current information security or compliancerelated certification strongly preferred Should have basic understanding of contracting data privacy laws and various compliance regimes Ability to quickly assimilate new information and respond to changing situations Prioritizes and plans work activities uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans Can demonstrate a passion related to some important aspect of this position Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative
