This position is responsible for the development, implementation and day to day maintenance of the budget system, upgrades for the FIN and HR/Payroll systems and submission of data to other systems outside of KUMC, ie, State of Kansas IBARS. Also reposbile for the payroll on and off cycle funding distribution processing.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field. A working knowledge in database development, implementation and analysis, along with familiarity with report writing, tools, and intergration of financial data with other operational databases. Proficient ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Peoplesoft or other related software system. A functional knowledge of those systems table structors and processes. A working knowledge of system upgrades, enhancements, modifications and day to day maintenance from a functional stand point.

Maintain a bolt on budget system within Peoplesoft Financials. This includes monitoring all tables and processes, monitor and update chartfield values based on State and University guidelines. Implementation and coordination of all Peoplesoft upgrades as it applies to budget procedures and formats. This includes the HR / Pay, Financials and the Budget System within the Peoplesoft product.

Monitor both Peopelsoft HR / Pay and Financials to ensure any and all processes are functioning as designed and when problems occur work with KUMC programming staff to correct. Must be alter to all changes in functionality and procedures outside budget arena and determine their impact on budget processes and procedures and make necessary changes when needed. Maintain current interfaces and build additional ones as needed.

Wok rdirectly with the Assistant Director to identify and develop new processes that would streamline and enhance current processes.

Develop, evaluate, test and modify current reports and design additional new reports as needed. Run shrinkage report bi-weekly and prepare excel graphs for the Associate Vice Chancellor of Finance

Run all funding distribution processes for both the on and off cycle payrolls. Analyze data after each process is run to ensure funding data is accurate and resolve any errors before running the next process.
