The Information Specialist I role is responsible for data and trade integrity and controls within the CRM system that supports Funds Management. This entry level position includes 2 distinct tracks; the entity data track and the transaction data track.
The Information Specialist I data entity track will be responsible for data integrity within the CRM system. Within that role, the individual is responsible for updating and cleansing data elements to ensure that consistent best practices are maintained and supported. Data maintenance may be a manual process at times, which would include adding or updating rep, office, and broker dealer records. In order for the individual to be successful in this role, they must have the ability to retrieve and analyze lists from many sources to review areas needing alteration and be responsible to make that judgment call. Additionally, there may be ad hoc maintenance that is necessary to perform within the CRM system. Lastly, the individual may be called upon to assist in setting up technical rules for a data automation effort for more frequent and systematized cleansing.
The Information Specialist I transaction data track will be responsible for daily trade reconciliation and research in the sales CRM system. Responsibilities will include the reconciliation of trade level data within the CRM at a firm-office-rep level for our Retail Sales Channel. This information is vital to the sales process and requires the individual to follow standard procedures. This track also requires day-to-day database maintenance and data entry activities, beyond the addition and maintenance of broker dealer, office and rep data. Additionally, this track is responsible for the management of our group mailboxes in support of our CRM applications. This front end access requires the individual to be customer facing and detailed in their tasks and responsibilities to provide excellent customer service.
The Information Specialist (in either track) will utilize multiple resources for research to make informed updates to the system. Attention to detail is a must, as is the ability to work autonomously on tedious projects. Results in our environment must be completed timely and accurately to meet our customer's needs.
