Individual will facilitate and support development, and testing of the clinical information systems. This position will serve as a technical resource for these projects. Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to the specific needs as required. Must be a liaison/coordinator between members of the health care team. Consult clinical personnel as needed regarding clinical issues related to Clinical Information Systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining test scripts that ensure exhaustive testing of clinical information systems to ensure compliance with system specifications.
Annual review and update of the testing plan
Interpret user problems and suggest appropriate system change proposals to correct issues and to enhance system functionality and performance.
Executes functional, application, regression, and performance tests for new version releases.
Makes on-site visits to enhance beta testing on updated versions of the Clinical Information System.
Expedites all incoming questions/problems generated by the physicians regarding clinical information systems and facilitates resolutions.
Collaborates with all departments to resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
Responds to the department needs by accepting additional assignments, which may or may not be related to the job’s primary responsibilities to ensure the continuity of department services.
Responsible for following all facility, organization and department precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
Stays current with HIPPA guidelines and ensures that the Clinical Information Systems are compliant with these guidelines.
Maintains up to date compliance training as required
High School Diploma required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
1-2 years as a Systems or product support analyst required.
2 years as a Quality Assurance Analyst or Product Support Analyst in a healthcare setting preferred.
Excellent analysis and trouble-shooting skills required.
Experience in Microsoft Office, Email, and Windows required.
Working knowledge of quality assurance process and methodologies required.
Must have excellent communications skills.
Proficient working knowledge of change management (defect, enhancement, new feature) tracking and source/version control systems preferred.
Experience with test planning, design and metrics, as well as working knowledge of product development cycle, testing process, and formal testing methodologies preferred.
Some knowledge of Visual Basic and relational databases such as SQL preferred.
