DUTIES

Information Specialist (Full-time) - Capital Region

The Information Specialist provides internal business owners with high quality, actionable information through data analytics which will drive better decision-making and produce greater visibility into the credit union's core businesses, creating operational transparency, improved efficiency, and reduced expenses. The Information Specialist position requires experience with data mining, information analysis along with business intelligence, and data warehouse concepts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's Degree
  • Three to four years' related experience
  • Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Stack and related database applications
  • Ability to solve complex business problems in a fast-paced business environment
  • Strong PC skills are necessary particularly Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet applications
  • Technical expertise regarding data models and database design
  • Understanding of XML and OLAP
  • Experience in using statistical packages such as SAS and SPSS is desirable
  • Adept at queries and report writing
  • Knowledge of statistics, at least to the degree necessary to analyze trends in data and communicate such to all levels
  • Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
