Directs technical resources so that Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) can provide a complete solution to clients.

Ensures that other MSA technical organizations can benefit from knowledge, training and hands-on technical assistance in OS, hardware, and network support.

Hires, trains, and motivates highly technical staff; allocates resources; prioritizes major goals and objectives; evaluates staff performance.

Responsible for resolving high end, complex customer relation issues and delegating day to day issues.

Responsible for resolving high profile complex customer technical issues.

Works closely with business unit leaders to plan, design and develop major projects, directing their overall management as executed by lower level project personnel and teams

Manage multiple medium to large scale projects

Lead/participate in efforts necessary to collect an understanding of business needs and convert those needs into technical requirements

Accountable for ensuring functional, technical and operational quality as well as on time delivery of initiatives

Develop project strategies, schedules, standard operating procedures and service level expectations

Provide technical direction and contributions to technical architecture and design as required

Effectively complete detailed project plans by identifying tasks, deliverables, assignments, controls, and contingency plans

Monitor and report project status and milestone achievements for all phases of a project on a very regular basis and implement remedial actions as appropriate

Interact with business units on existing projects and help grow the relationship between ITSS and our business units

Provide sales support as needed by our business units and ITSS for proposals and statements of work

Apply technical knowledge and analytical skills to proactively identify and solve business and technical problems

Lead and manage the efforts of technical coordinators

Required Skills

Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Minimum fifteen years of combined experience in computer hardware, software and networking areas plus a minimum of five years’ experience in technical service management or project management

Advanced understanding of operating systems and applications on multiple hardware platforms

Knowledge of industry standards in hardware and software; of vendor capabilities and performance; and of standard service agreements

Broad understanding of information technology products and services

Experience with Sharepoint or similar collaboration tool

Proficiency using MS Project, MS Office, MS Visio, SQL

Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to articulate and facilitate technical, business and analytical discussions across disciplines

Must be able to exhibit strong organizational, multi-tasking and detailed oriented skills along with success under pressure

Able to work with all levels of management in an effective, proactive manner

Takes full ownership and accountability for their and others work
