Provide administrative and clerical support to the assigned unit in the Human Services Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position. These duties are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned .

Manage security level components of SSIS programs, customize templates and maintain accurate database by clearing and monitoring information. Acts as SSIS mentor and trainer.

Acts as security liaison for social services in state operated systems.

Monitor eligibilities and reviews for case management compliance and accuracy. Coordinates with Prepaid Medical Assistance Program (PMAP) providers to determine eligibilities for Benton County clients.

Approve service arrangements, establish accuracy for vouchers and service agreements and monitor for proper payment accounts and quality reporting.

Manage pre-admission screening caseload and disposition adult protection services intakes.

Provide support in maintenance of Human Services contracts.

Complete reports and submit to the Department of Human Services.

Coordinate social service time study.

Coordinate ITV conferences and trainings.

Compose various letters and reports.

Scan and image office records.

Conduct caseload reviews for social workers.

Responsible for maintenance of files and records.

Transcribe confidential correspondence for supervisors, director and social workers including personnel data, memos, services plans, charts and tables.

Develop and maintain respectful and cooperative working relationships.

Regular attendance according to the department's work schedule.

Minimum Training and Experience Required:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma and two years clerical experience (or the equivalent combination of education and experience).

License and Certification:

Valid MN driver's license while operating vehicle on county business.

Minimum Abilities Required to Perform Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds).

Judgment and Situational Reasoning Ability:

Must possess ability to handle confidential and data privacy issues appropriately.

Must possess ability to solve problems and determine appropriate course of action.

Must possess ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrams or schedule forms.

Communication Skills:

Requires the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with human services staff, other county employees, clients and the public.

Environmental Adaptability:

Work is often performed in an office. Headaches, eyestrain, and other related occupational hazards reflect the most common potential for injury.
