The Information Systems Specialist will be a core member of our team focused on delivering customer centric solutions with increased speed to market to drive value to our customers.

Functional Responsibilities:
Leads the technical design and development of cross-functional, global, multiplatform application systems.
Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment.
Conducts analysis of Global Employee Benefits organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
Collaborates with RAD-IT in all regions to ensure technical designs and implementations account for locally driven requirements.
Partners with Global Employee Benefits Business and other MetLife Technology teams to accomplish business goals.
Contributes to defining the roadmap, time tables and project plans; analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved.
Develops program specifications.
Provides technical support to technical vendor resources.
Aligns with MetLifeArchitecture Guidelines and SDLC Processes.
As appropriate; designs and codes business process models; designs and codes business rules and algorithms.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Mentors technical staff
May lead a matrixed team.
Reviews work products from team and vendor consultants Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:10+ years of related work experience including:
Experience with development of global, multi-tenant, or enterprise platform applications
Industry knowledge of the latest information technologies, trends and benefits, such as Big Data, Mobility, Social Media and Cloud
Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies
Proficient in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Project
Visio is a plus

Preferred Experience:
Experience developing applications for non-US users a plus.
Working knowledge of Iterative/Agile methodology is a plus
