Examples of Work:
Troubleshoot and provide solutions whether through direct intervention, or as a liaison to service providers and 3rd party support agencies and vendors. Supported systems and hardware include but are not limited to: network devices and connections, e-mail system, Internet access, desktop and laptop computers, printers, and scanners, video conferencing systems, online software applications, video recording, telephone and voice conferencing systems, and digital recording.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Post high school coursework/technical certificate in computer science, information technology, or comparable discipline.
PREFERRED: Associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have good trouble shooting skills in order to solve hardware and software problems and have the ability to do this at remote locations throughout the state. Thorough knowledge of Windows XP/Vista, the boot sequence of a computer, Word Processing, Databases (both relational and flat file) and Spreadsheets Must be able to handle stress derived from deadlines and multiple requests for assistance; learn quickly with minimal supervision; possess good communication skills; be available to work overtime when necessary (i.e. special projects, computer hardware and software upgrades, etc.). Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Able to set priorities and manage the work to those priorities.
