The co-op education and career development information systems specialist will deliver web and database administration, systems training, and technical troubleshooting response to faculty, staff, students, alumni and administrators who use Northeastern co-op education and career development information systems. On occasion, the information systems specialist may also be called upon to assist with basic coding and configuration of new web based tools under development and to assist with the introduction of those tools to users. The information systems specialist interfaces with a wide range of co-op education and career development program stakeholders including the director of information systems administration, the developer of business intelligence tools, as well as front-end users including cooperative education coordinators, career development advisors, employers, students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Bachelors required. Three years of experience in website database administration required. The incumbent will possess a strong client-service orientation, the skill to communicate technical ideas and procedures in clear and practicable ways to non-technical users, and the ability to devise practicable approaches to resolving technical problems reported by users. Strong Microsoft SQL query-skills a must. Time management and multi taking skills also a must.
