Job Summary/Essential Functions
: This is an open recruitment; three days' notice will be provided prior to closure of recruitment. Screening will begin 10/21/2013.
As a senior-level specialist in an assigned area of responsibility and/or as a team member, applies advanced technical knowledge and considerable discretion to evaluate and resolve complex tasks such as planning and participating in large-scale projects; maintenance of complex systems, software, application interfaces, or applications; developing and implementing quality assurance testing and performance monitoring; acting as a liaison on the development of applications; and representing institution-wide computing and/or telecommunication standards and philosophy at meetings. This individual will be responsible to administer specified enterprise information systems.
Incumbents understand the customer's business from the perspective of a senior business person and are conversant in the customer's business language. Projects assigned to this level impact geographical groupings of offices/facilities, and/or regional, divisional, or multiple business units with multiple functions. The majority of tasks performed have wide-area impact, integrate new technology, and/or affect how the mission is accomplished.

: This position, during the course of university employment, will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value. Successful candidate will be required to pass a background check. This is an agency shop position

: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Four years of information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing and/or developing computer software applications, providing software application technical support in information technology; orEquivalent education or experience.POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The selected candidate must meet all of the following requirements to be considered qualified for this position: R1: Four years of information technology experience in the areas of application development, database design and/or technical analysis or Equivalent education or experience.R2: One year experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) to include data query, extraction, formatting and understanding schemas.R3: One year experience implementing, managing, and administering complex, enterprise-wide systems.R4: Experience with Microsoft Office suite.Demonstrated abilities in each of the following areas: R5: Working independently.R6: Prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.R7: Effectively communicate in both spoken and written form to diverse constituencies, both technical and non-technical.Additionally, candidates must offer a demonstrated high degree of interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency or diversity.
: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: P1: Knowledge and experience working in a higher education and/or financial environments in areas dealing with enterprise information systems management and support systemsP2: Two or more years data analysis experience with relational databases management systems (RDBMS) to include data query, extraction, formatting and understanding schemas.P3: Experience with the SunGard Banner Enterprise Resource Planning systemP4: Experience with SunGard Finance module and/or Finance Systems.
