Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Information >b >Technology Instructional Content Developer located in Houston, TX through September 16, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
The successful candidate will work on projects with multiple operating companies and Information Technology Company (ITC) personnel at various levels within each organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS THIS POSITION MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provides training content development and delivery to end-users located across Chevron's global operations.
Collaborate with internal Business Partners through a requirements gathering methodology to Create Computer Based or Instructor Taught Course Content delivered through Chevron's IM Academy.
Use Content Development Software (e.g. Adobe Captivate or Camtasia) to produce training deliverables in a WMV or MP4 streaming media format. This includes syncing audio recordings with specific slide content, and enhancing content using the software’s key editing features.
Record short training videos with Subject Matter Experts.
Use MS SharePoint to create new Workspaces. Provide enhancements/maintenance to existing inventory of IM Academy SharePoint sites.
Maintain IM Academy SharePoint sites permission and security groups.
Regularly modify IM Academy SharePoint sites to reflect new course additions.
Enroll in appropriate LMS (Learning Management System) training to be able to add or remove IM Academy courses from LMS inventory.
Provide IM Academy manager with LMS reports or metrics from LMS (course enrollment etc.)
Prepare IM Academy CBT or specific vendor CBT content so that it can be promoted into LMS test environment for User Acceptance Testing.
Work with internal contacts to promote finalized content to LMS Production.
Set up LMS Programs so that content can be selected and digested in logical and appropriate groupings.
Follow good Operational Excellence processes in the development, testing and delivery of IM Academy course content.
Facilitate testing and participation in Pilot training opportunities and provide actionable feedback.
Provide e-mail and phone support to Chevron employees that have general questions or opportunities that reference the IM Academy.
2-4 years in Training Content Development preferably in Information Management or IT
Proficient with MS Office and MS SharePoint such as creating and maintaining sites.
Strong Communication skills (presentation, organization, professional delivery) and facilitative skills
Business Analysis skills, customer focus, and process-oriented.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Management, Communications or other relevant fields
Strong Experience with Training Content Development Software such as Adobe Captivate or Camtasia
