We are currently conducting a search for an Information Technology Manager within our Enterprise Systems and Technology (EST) Department. This is a highly responsible position that oversees the managing of the daily operations of the department ensuring appropriate use of technology that maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Other duties and responsibilities include leading and managing the department personnel in the planning, budgeting, administering, coordinating and evaluating the systems applications and hardware of computer information and communications systems. This is a hands-on managerial position which applies policies, procedure, and technical knowledge to accomplish the goals and objectives of the department and the organization.
The EST Department provides an integral link between all departments and the community in providing the technical backbone for city services. The Manager oversees the Information Technology and Geographic Information Systems, and will have an increasingly important role in analyzing business processes and the efficient utilization of technology for the city. The Information Technology Manager reports to the Assistant City Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in information management, computer science or related field with a Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of information systems experience, plus at least two years of supervisory experience preferably in a relevant technology infrastructure or application development environment. A proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with all departments and individuals to successfully meet the needs of the organization. Experience in GIS projects and teams helpful. The successful candidate will have proven leadership abilities in motivating and developing staff in a constantly changing environment that leads to gained efficiencies and improved community services.
Salary is dependent upon qualifications. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background investigation.
