: Manages a team of architects, system analysts, and developers. Manages staff priorities to best deliver IT solutions to customers. Identify employee-training opportunities to enrich employee skills while providing a greater knowledge base in support of future IT initiatives.
: Works with business customers, other IT managers and business representatives to identify requirements. This may include working with and/or managing teams of internal clients (users), external consultants, contractors and personnel.
: Actively participate in the development of system architectures for areas of responsibility and works with other groups including enterprise IT architecture team to validate and implement proposed architecture.
: Understands Service Oriented Architecture techniques and technologies such as Enterprise Service Bus, SOAP, WSDL, REST. Understands how to best apply these technologies to effectively achieve cohesive integration between systems.
: Manages packaged solutions and builds upon technical vendor relationships to create roadmaps for future growth.
: Effectively manages project support, keeping a balance between support and project work.
: Manages consultants in addition to dedicated staff, as well as vendors for services, products or projects.
: Participates in the vendor or technology selection processes relating to the acquisition of software applications.
: Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate the enterprise architectural alignment of web based, distributed and legacy systems.
: Professionally represents IT and provides IT customer support, across the enterprise.
: Demonstrated ability to integrate new tools and approaches to application solution delivery into existing architecture.
: Strong technical background with an emphasis on modern web development
: Strong system and application architecture background
: Solid Service Oriented Architecture experience
: Familiarity with various build and deployment tools
: Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to lead the team to excellence
: Knowledge of business to business applications
: Experience with consumer facing applications
: Knowledge of mobile development a plus
: Standards development experience
: Strong resource/project planning and management
: Experience managing teams in different development methodologies, including Agile
: Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate, both verbally and written, on a technical and non-technical level
: Prior IT management experience required
: Oracle or MS SQL Server
: Demonstrated experience defining and developing software architectures, with a preference towards SOA design principles
: Experience leading teams with Agile methodologies is a plus
Licenses or Certifications:
: Development certifications in Java or .NET a plus
: Object Oriented Analysis & Design certifications
: Agile methodologies certifications is a plus
