Planning, developing, and implementing secure, cost-effective IT solutions for customers including responsibility for any classified systems and/or programs.
Facilitating the IT change control process and providing updates on a cyclical basis to ensure implementation of IT services are within budget and schedule.
Serving as an escalation point to ensure appropriate Help Desk and Break.Fix response.
Assist users in research and development of new technologies that will support operations.
Evaluating technology alternatives, assessing each established criteria, and recommending the best possible solution to the customer.
Developing, implementing and executing project plans; tracking project status, identifying and mitigating risk, and adjusting project plans as required.
In order to qualify, applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the basic requirement above, applicants must qualify for this position via the experience described below.
Specialized Experience : One year of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Utilizing knowledge of IT methods and practices sufficient to perform routine assignments;
Identifying and resolving issues and problems, and provide information and assistance to customers;
Applying systems security methods and procedures to ensure the application of appropriate security measures to the assignment;
Performing operating systems installation and configuration procedures sufficient to install updates and fix existing problems;
Using system administration methods and procedures to monitor and troubleshoot systems availability; and
Preparing a variety of technical documentation for operational and functional uses.
