Job Description:
This position will provide instruction for the Web & Digital Communications, Programming, Advanced Programming, Information Support & Services, and Network Systems pathways. Courses in these pathways are designed for high school students to enable them to understand, communicate, and adapt to a digital world as it impacts their personal life, society, and the business world.

Exposure to foundational knowledge in hardware, software, programming, web design, IT support, and networks are all taught in a computer lab with hands-on activities and project-focused tasks. Students will not only understand the concepts, but apply their knowledge to situations and defend their actions/decisions/choices through the knowledge and skills acquired in this course. Employability skills are integrated into activities, tasks, and projects throughout the course standards to demonstrate the skills required by business and industry.

Additional Job Information:
Competencies in the co-curricular student organization, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), are integral components of both the employability skills standards and content standards for this course. This position will have sponsorship responsibility for extracurricular clubs in this area.

This instructor must be prepared to highlight various forms of technologies to expose students to the emerging technologies impacting the digital world. Additionally, this instructor must teacher professional communication skills and practices, problem-solving, ethical and legal issues, and the impact of effective presentation skills to all students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale At least one (1) year of teaching experience preferred Certification Requirements: 1. Any level 4 or higher Clear Renewable Teaching Certificate (except JROTC) at the 6-12 or P-12 level and the Computer Science Endorsement; or 2. Technology Education 6-12; or 3. Business Education 6-12.
