Otay Water District, winner of a 2011 Award for Excellence in Information Technology Practices is seeking an Information Technology Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned manager with in-depth technical knowledge, have the ability to work within a strategic role and be responsible for planning, coordination and successful implementation of technical initiatives. Strong leadership skills, innovation, experience in government setting, and excellent communication skills across all levels are highly desirable.
Under general direction of the Chief Information Officer, manages the staff and activities of the Information Technology Section in support of district-wide operations and systems to include network, communications, security, database and business applications; directly supports the District’s Strategic Planning process and provides complex administrative support.

REQUIREMENTS: Seven (7) years of senior level information technology management experience in a Microsoft centric environment supporting a broad range of business and technology applications, preferably supporting a large organization or public agency, including two (2) years of related supervisory experience.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s of Science degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field.
