The Role:
Morningstar is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Infrastructure Project Manager who thrives on challenges, has excellent problem-solving skills, and excels at communicating project issues and risks to both project teams and management. Projects may include product platform and data center migrations, implementation of new product infrastructure, monitoring and cloud automation, implementation of new employee technology systems, unified communications and collaborative solutions, and security and compliance. This position is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities Manage projects from discovery to implementation and prioritize projects based on strategic objectives.
Lead projects via effective communication, consultation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Manage a diverse group of internal and external people to meet project goals.
Adopt the appropriate project leadership style to address specific challenges.
Set deadlines and track work, address issues and risks, and escalate when appropriate.
Apply best practices so that projects are managed around standards.
Work with the support team to operationalize new products and systems.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials.
At least five years of infrastructure project management experience with a proven/demonstrable track record, across a broad technology base.
Strong spoken and written communication skills.
Strong organization and teamwork skills.
PMP and ITIL Foundations certification is desirable.
Technical infrastructure is an advantage.
