Inside Account Manager Job Description
The Inside Account Manager (IAM) position is a key role in our organization. The IAM has direct and daily contact with our customers and is expected to grow relationships and accounts. The position is fast paced and requires excellent communication, critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask. The IAM sells company products in conjunction with Outside Account Managers (OAM), to increase customer penetration and sales opportunities. Success is measured by meeting sales objectives and performing all duties with a high ethical standard while exceeding all customer requirements.

Job Duties Include
Manage & Prioritize incoming requests from multiple sources (i.e. fax, email, phone calls) Specify and recommend products to customers based of customer application Be able to offer alternative solutions for customers based on AWC’s core products Support inside/outside sales staff with application scenarios and customer requests for applications Acknowledge & Process customer’s Request For Quotes (RFQ) Acknowledge & Process customer’s Purchase Orders (PO) Set up & Manage customer requirements (Quote & Order) Set up & Manage customer account codes Set Up Part Numbers (as required) Proactive Expediting via Weekly Open Order Report Reactive Expediting (as requested) Acknowledge & Process Request for Return or Repair Establish & Manage Customer Contract Pricing Bi-Weekly Quote Follow Ups Build & Maintain Customer & Vendor Relationships Monitor & Manage Customer Order Management Systems (as required) Co-Management of Key Accounts with Outside Account Manager Monthly Account Reviews with Primary OAM(s). Margin review of Key accounts Monthly review of Rebates and SPR’s for expiration and/or renewal. Price increase notification to customers 30 days prior to price increase. Update contract pricing. Account activity that might necessitate local inventory set up or standard pricing. Review of Customer Specific Inventory safety quantities that are in question to determine if SQ should remain at the current level or be adjusted up/down as recommended by DRP. Review of Standard and Contract pricing as necessary to adjust for price increases or part number additions/deletions, etc. Joint customer on boarding meetings with top customers. To include day to day personnel that an IAM talks to on a regular basis, i.e. purchasing, expeditors, and logistics!
