As an Inside Sales Manager, you will lead and manage the team of Lead Development and Inside Sales Representatives that are responsible for managing our volume sales efforts. You will also be responsible for personally selling commercial versions of our leading NoSQL database to companies who are creating the next killer web and mobile applications. You’ll work with large volumes of leads and sell the value of our product and services offering that has established Couchbase as the #1 selling NoSQL database in the world.
Manage the Lead Development and Sales Reps teams as well as personally closing business to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings objectives
Follow up on leads generated by the Marketing Department and manage the Lead Development group in their lead generation efforts for all US regions.
Conduct online presentation of the company and product line.
Conduct online high-level demonstration of the products.
Maintain daily activities in salesforce.com CRM system, tracking interactions with prospects and customers. Ensure team members do the same.
Provide coaching to improve individual performance.
Manage opportunities and forecast.
Lead efforts to improve processes for managing the sales funnel with the Account Developers and Sales Reps
Recruit and manage a growing team.
Self-motivated, independent, and high-performance individual, with ability to learn and become productive extremely fast
5+ years B2B sales experience; 1+ years experience leading/managing a high performing sales/lead gen team
Success at selling software to technical audience
Experience selling enterprise infrastructure software is required; database and/or open-source software experience is highly desired
High-energy while multi-tasking - must be comfortable making 40+ calls/emails per day
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent work experience
