The Inside Sales Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Telephone sales are a key component of position; candidates must have a strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.
• Pursue and engage new business opportunities within the healthcare IT markets through cold calling
• Constantly reach aggressive calls per week quota as well as sales goals
• Execute lead generation programs to drive new business/revenue opportunities
• Demonstrate an extensive knowledge about our solution offerings and be able to communicate these offerings effectively
• Weekly reporting of sales calls and activities planned and/or completed, including status reporting of all active business opportunities
• Work with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop and implement a Sales Plan for our products and target markets
• Work with V.P. of Marketing to develop and maintain appropriate lead/sales metrics and reporting
• Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales person for further development and closure
• Close telephone sales to meet and exceed quarterly quotas
• Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
• Perform effective online demos to prospects
• Handle inbound calls and internet requests for product information
Required Education and Experience
Degree in a marketing or business discipline or equivalent experience
• A minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong listening and presentation skills
• A self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture
• Highly effective at web-based product demonstrations
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience selling business software applications and/or web-based software highly preferred
• Experience with business-to-business commerce and hospital healthcare IT software
• 1-2yrs solid Healthcare IT and/or related direct sales background with proven history of quota over-achievement
• Ability to build strong rapport, establish trust and credibility through a consultative approach, and balance assertive sales follow-up without being overly aggressive
• Proven ability to close business via phone
• Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
