The Opportunity The ideal candidate will progressively manage and grow business with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers daily and m ust be able to meet or exceed sales objectives, and have a proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships. The candidate will have the opportunity to p romote and sell Graybar products in compliance with all company pricing policies and instructions, to achieve maximum gross margin rate. The ideal candidate will h andle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims as well as keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
A Bachelor’s degree and two-four years of industry specific experience is preferred. A broad knowledge of product line and pricing is preferred. The successful candidate must possess exceptional phone and prospecting skills; proven ability to learn our business, and to work independently to achieve goals; negotiation skills along with the ability to sell and be persuasive; and a broad knowledge of business administration, MS Office sales and marketing. A professional appearance and demeanor required. Acceptable driving record is a must. Must be willing to make onsite customer visits as necessary.
