Manages pre-order activity. Works with various departments to provide information to the customer on samples, pricing, quotations, drawings and other information as requested by the customer or field sales.
Manages order entry activity. Takes action related to receiving, reviewing and entering orders. Conduct Contract Review and obtain written updates/agreements from customer to ensure the quoted information, including price and lead time is correctly match that on customer PO or agreement in writing. Notify engineering, B/R CSR, purchasing department, planner about receipt of any prototype PO. Works with planning to expedite orders as necessary.
Manages post-order activity. Provides any subsequent documentation necessary to ensure successful and accurate delivery and customs clearances of products to the customer. Processes QN’s and RMA’s as required per department guidelines. Provides supporting documentation to accounting to resolve payment issues. Generate tooling invoice at the same time of PO entry for part.
Provides professional and excellent communication, written and oral, to all internal and external customers and contacts. Handles inbound and outbound calls within assigned area of responsibility as well as overflow calls. Independently builds customer relationships to enhance customer loyalty and help grow the business. Manages customer survey and analyzes/summarizes the results.
Develops strong customer relationships and supports Sales by building a Molex advocate base with key customers in each territory. Proactively conveys pertinent information to Sales with a high sense of urgency.
Monitors and proactively works on customer backlog to meet CRD/MPD.
Works with Planning to maintain and analyze customer firm and forecast requirements.
Processes incomplete line items to resolve pricing discrepancies between customer and Molex.
Works with the Planning on changes in customer schedules, including negotiating dock dates, freight charges, expedite fees, and so on.
Coordinates Expedites, Cancellations, and Reschedules by working with the appropriate departments and following intercompany policy.
As time allows, assists other personnel and/or department as assigned and directed by management.
Understands, supports and contributes to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
Be proficient in SAP and other tools needed for the job. Documents and follows SPI and/or DWI related to the job. Prepares various report related to shipment, invoices, bookings and etc. as requested by management.
Keeps excellent attendance record. Arranges backup ahead of time for time off.
