Inside Sales Representative

Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative at Spirent Communications is responsible for revenue generation through new account development and/or growth of existing accounts for Spirent Communications Enterprise products and services within North America. This is accomplished through telephone-based prospecting, product promotion and demonstration to establish and maintain customer relationships. ISR is responsible to work with Channel partners to assist in developing, building, and maintaining a network of Value Added Reseller (VAR) partners and Distribution partners to work the end user opportunities through.

This is a quota carrying sales position with responsibilities including; ownership of the sales process for direct accounts, driving new business, and working on opportunities in conjunction with Channel Sales Managers and Channel Partners to build a solid dependable revenue base.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Prospecting and selling Spirent product via Inside Sales and through Channel Partners.
• Consistent achievement of individual and company sales goals.
• Opportunity identification, qualification, and needs analysis.
• Develop solid relationships with customers, Spirent Channel Sales Managers and Channel Partners.
• Perform “web-ex” demos, sales presentations and manage customer product evaluations.
• Partner with Marketing and Channel Partners to articulate the value-add of Spirent offerings.
• Develop and close new accounts and work with Channel Partners to jointly work those accounts.
• Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on product roadmap, industry and developments.
• Manage and execute targeted campaigns as requested.
• Opportunity Management and Channel Partner Management in CRM database.
• Manage Deal Registration process for Channel Partners.
• Communicating current Price Book data and discount policy to partners.
• Contributing to quarterly strategic planning processes.
• Coordinate ordering and delivery of Partner Products via Licenses/VM’s/Appliances.
• Collect Partner Quarterly Metrics and forecasts.
• Achieve and exceed personal yearly quota.
Qualifications & Experience:
1 - 5 years Inside Sales experience selling technical solutions.
• Strong customer focus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive, can do attitude with the willingness to learn.
• Self-motivated team player.
• Ability to effectively participate in customer/partner presentations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly-matrixed organization requiring superior skills in critical thinking, influencing, and managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Demonstrated strong leadership capacity and influencing skills.
• High energy, enthusiasm and attention to detail.
• Identify and document suggestions for improvements and enhancements to the system based on personal experience and user input.
• Reliable, methodical, meticulous, logical, disciplined.
• Ability to learn and understand network testing, methodologies, instruments and solutions.
• BS/ BA, Technical Degree, or equivalent knowledge.
• Ability to travel (up to 10%).
Compensation:
Base salary.
• Monthly compensation tied to set quota.
• Annual Incentives tied to longer-term sales activities.
