Quotes, sells and services small group and group related products for a specific block of brokers. To provide broker support via telephone: answer questions and provide technical/legislative information, screen and direct new business sales, follow up on outstanding quotes, handle carrier exceptions, facilitate a speedy underwriting process and meet goals and objectives on a monthly basis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must speak fluent English and communicate effectively. Must have strong knowledge of group medical insurance field and related aspects, including technical, legislative and underwriting areas; must have strong people skills, strong phone skills and ability to prioritize; must be detail-oriented. Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
Education Requirement: Four-year degree preferred or two years of industry sales experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to use a computer and be on the telephone 95% of the time. Normal sight, hearing, mobility. Ability to lift and carry 25-30 pounds.
