Insights Manager, Marketing Strategy & Insights
This position provides client support for driving insights from existing multi-channel marketing programs, makes both tactical and strategic recommendations for improved marketing effectiveness. This position is responsible for forecasting performance of marketing programs as well as comparing to actuals with the goal towards identification of key areas of success and opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities included leveraging internal and external customer reporting to derive insights and make ongoing recommendations for program improvement, the development of measurement frameworks and test and learn agenda in support of on-going improvement of client MROI. This position required and firm understanding of customer lifecycle management and customer loyalty programs. The technical skills required for this position included, but at not limited to, strong understanding of Business Intelligence and reporting tools.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive insights from internal and external marketing performance reports and analytic output and package for executive consumption with minimal supervision.
Provide descriptive interpretation of results to help client’s mine the most relevant highlights from a detailed reports and analysis. Build business cases to support strategic recommendations.
The ability to design multi-channel communication plans and support execution and testing of those plans.
Present material derived from statistical analysis to non-technical internal and external audiences with minimal statistical references and emphasis.
Provide measurement frameworks for multi-channel marketing programs including the identification and calculation of metrics required to support client goals.
Build and support execution of multi-channel test and learn agendas.
Uncover business intelligence based on divergent data sources that are not always entirely pristine and/or self-explanatory.
Translate analysis into business opportunities for the client and Allant
Support the development of new / expanded business proposals and/or strengthen the relationship with the client based on key findings from database analysis.
Provide prescriptive analytic consultative input and interpretation to help direct client’s communication strategy. Collaborate with clients to identify and quantify opportunities based on reports and/or customer insights
Engage in new business acquisition opportunities as needed.
Technical Skills: Deep experience in programming and/or analytical tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau, QlikView, advanced Excel) to efficiently and effectively extract, transform and summarize data with minimal supervision.
High Impact Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Experience developing and delivering clear and concise presentations to executive level audiences.
Interpretation of Analytic Output: Strong ability to derive insights from analytic reporting and modeling. Ability to interpret output and synthesize with tactical and strategic recommendations for executive management.
Project Management: Skilled in scoping and project planning as well as effectively utilizing resources to manage and deliver a high quality work product on schedule.
Productivity: Utilizes time management techniques and mechanisms to track projects, tasks and schedules while leveraging the appropriate resources to gain further efficiencies.
Digital/Online: Familiarity with the application of analytic methods in the digital and online channels.
Critical Thinking: Ability to think broadly and critically about a business problem applying analysis, business, industry, and company acumen to either prove or disprove initial hypotheses.
Personal & Business Development: Identify value add within the course of projects through self-guided research or by consulting adjacent teams. Share results and recommend steps to improve client or internal growth.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics or other quantitative discipline.
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in analytics and/or database marketing is required.
Knowledge of business goals and performance metrics for units such as Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Operations and Customer Service.
Some travel required.
