Perform inspection and testing of wet, dry, pre-action, clean agent and deluge sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 25 and the state of Indiana.
Perform fire pump and backflow valve inspections.
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years experience as a Fire Sprinkler Inspector or Sprinkler Fitter with functional knowledge of Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems
State of Indiana Backflow Certification preferred. If no Backflow certification is present, successful candidate will be required to obtain Backflow certification within 6 months of employment.
NICET Level II in Inspections and Testing of Water-Based Systems is preferred. If no NICET certification is present, successful candidate will be required to obtain NICET Level I in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems within 12 months of employment and NICET Level II after 2 years.
Basic knowledge of fire alarms a plus
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Must have Valid Driver's License with good driving record
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. without assistance
Ability to walk, stand or climb stairs and ladders for an 8-hour work day
